Our old family website had not been updated for some time, largely because H's blog has been doing the job that the family site used to do, and much better. I also decided that the cost of maintaining our own server space outweighed the need, and so the sites that used to be there is now on various clouds. (I'm still thinking about where to store the old photos and videos.) I still own the domain name, and it will lead here.

The point of this blog is to allow me to post pictures that don't make it onto the blog, mostly from my phone. The commentary will be minimal.

I took the title from the Walt Whitman poem:

There was a child went forth every day,
And the first object he look'd upon, that object he became,
And that object became part of him for the day or a certain part of the day,
Or for many years or stretching cycles of years.

I hope to capture and share that process in our family. Enjoy.
